About Roam3

Based in Christchurch, New Zealand, Roam3 Ltd was formed in 2009 by Director Brendan Wright.

Previously Brendan had implemented highly scalable and robust web-based information systems that were designed to seamlessly work around communication network and server outages. A sports livescoring system he built for a Christchurch web company was claimed to be the most frequently trafficked website in New Zeland during busy periods.

Brendan started Roam3 with the intention of applying similar technology to the problem of distributing disaster warnings cheaply and reliably over New Zealand's existing communications infrastructure to computers and mobile devices. In 2011 Roam3 deployed what it believes to be the world's first portable Earthquake Early Warning (EEW) devices to be rapidly deployed after an earthquake, and also the first to provide an early warning to mobile devices on aftershocks centered only 10 kilometres or so from the user.

Roam3 employs a number of full-time and part-time staff at its Christchurch office. Please contact us for more information.
